Results of first test

The results of Piper's first Progesterone test came back today.  She is 0.2ng, so her levels have not begun to rise yet signifying ovulation. She is at day 8 of her cycle so this is normal. We will test again Wednesday or Thursday Morning and get the results on Friday.  Piper's mother Foosa always ovulated on day # 12.  Her sister was day #14.  I expect Piper to be somewhere around there.  :-)

The range of the lab I use,  so you know it is:
<1.0 proesterus
1.0 - 1.9 (The LH Surge, approx 2 days prior to ovulation)
2.0 - 3.9 (1 day prior to ovulation)
> 4.0  Post Ovulation

So we are looking for her number to exceed 4.0  Then we have a day or so for the eggs to ripen so they are ready for the sperm.  How handy because this gives me some driving time :-)

  1. Thank you for the update and the information. It's great you can pinpoint exact days, so you know when to travel.

    1. Yes, Progesterone testing is a godsend in my opinion. Well worth the extra expense. Some breeders do not use them and just breed on a certain day of the cycle routinely, but every female is different. Plus, I Love knowing an exact due date :-)
