Third week Changes
We are into the third week of pregnancy. Morning sickness is common during this time. Piper has not shown any signs of this. I have decided to bump up her food a smidge as she looked a little skinny in her belly shot. She is thrilled. Her milk line is definitely more prominent. The cells in the puppies are now undergoing many changes, and are forming into different specializations. Some will become the all important placenta, which provides oxygen and nutrients to the fetus, as well as removing waste. The rest will specialize into the different parts of the body. The first to form is the nervous system, particularly the spinal chord and the brain.
