Piper is Pregnant!!

Confirmed today by ultrasound (yes early, I could not wait for tomorrow) :-)   At Day 26!   We see at least 5 little amniotic sacs.  This is not a count by any means.  Pup can be absorbed still and there can be 2 pups per sac.  Also, the canine uterus is  V shaped with 2 horns (not one balloon-like  structure like in humans)  think  noodle-like and twisty within the abdomen.  As the pups get larger it will become more turgid and it will be easier to count pups around day # 45.   Here are some picts from today..

Here is a photo of the screen.  Remember the  ultrasound is moving while we take the pictures, so it is not the best.  BUT basically what you are looking at is the dark circular sac in the view. ( Piper's GUTS are all the white stuff)   The Sac in the amniotic sac and it contains fluid, and the tiny little streak of the embryo and the placenta.
